The sun is finally shining in Northern California, so I connected with a friend to breathe fresh air and explore what the rain and landslides left behind. The terrain was, at times, slippery and steep, and we may have found ourselves directionally challenged once or twice after unexpected runoff and debris forced us from the main path. We smiled the whole way and followed the cows, which led us back home.
I returned tired but refreshed and thankful to live in a beautiful place, and even more grateful I could enjoy it. I'm now asking myself, "why don't I take breaks more often?"
