If I've learned anything while starting my own company, it's that some people will think you're crazy, others will wish for your success or failure, and most could care less. The best news is none of it matters. Find your passion, figure out how to do it, make mistakes and adjust. There's a path for anyone willing to make one; it all starts with a leap.
